As a devout evangelical Christian, the late Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina not only abstained from going steady with a hubby, but also

to preclude others from doing so.

For better or worse, SCOTUS

the law Lindsey Graham legislated to codify the example he set, and to compel others — who may lack his immaculate piety and superior virtues — to follow suit.

In lieu of holy matrimony, the good senator reportedly fulfilled his God given urges by retaining the services of countless male prostitutes, or "rent boys" as they're known.

Granted, Lindsey Graham absolutely ain't the only prominent American politician who've been publicly and rightfully recognized for their prolific prowess with professional prostitutes.

Moreover, it's important to recognize that members of Team Trump don't just patronize prostitutes, they apparently work as prostitutes as well:

To be fair, politicians patronizing prostitutes is par for the course regardless of jurisdiction. So ain't here to moralize as that'd be puerile and silly.

It would be wonderful, but there's zero momentum. The Chinese are too caught up in their cult of foreigners to realize anything. From personal experience, I've seen Chinese people skip the line for foreigners (especially whites), free entry to clubs, street photo ops, and fawning over them.
You're not Chinese, are you? You don't think like Chinese. For us, we know that treating guests well reflects on the generosity and magnanimity of the host, since the guest has put himself in the host's hands, voluntarily showing trust and vulnerability. That is our culture. In Western culture, honoring of a guest is seen as weakness through elevating another over oneself so guests should be made to feel small and powerless to exhibit the host's strength.
I haven't encountered a single russian whoever speaks well of China, slav usually hate Chinese people, to the core behind their backs and belittle them in every way. Because they consider themselves superior to them, after all, they are the Chinese. They try to please them everywhere, and this gives rise to an unhealthy cult of foreignness within Chinese society, and a feeling of superiority among foreigners. You will never find a place in Russia or in the West where the Chinese people would have the same discounts or attitude towards foreigners, anywhere.
This is supported by personal experience and work with foreign workers in China, primarily from Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus, as well as studies at Chinese universities. In 80% of cases, this was the case, and this was the case in 2016, 2019, and even 2024. Read Russian forums and websites and see what Russians call the Chinese.
All good personal stories. In mine, I haven't encountered a single Russian in my many trips to Kazakstan or through meeting them in the US who wasn't friendly with a high opinion of China. We're like brothers the instant we tell each other where we're from. We all have stories, broski, but I have data too.

"In Russia, sentiment toward Chinese leadership continues to warm across all segments of Russian society, reaching a record-high approval rating of 71% this year. Approval of German and U.S. leadership, meanwhile, sank further in 2023..."

"Seventy-five percent of Russians said they view China favorably, a significant increase from last year, a poll showed on Friday.

According to statistics provided by the Moscow-based Levada Center, Russians' views of China have significantly improved in 2021, with 75 percent of the respondents displaying positive attitudes

Only 10 percent of the surveyed respondents said they view China negatively"

Remember back in 2020 when the Chinese owner of Grindr was forced by the US government to sell the gay dating/hookup platform? One of the explicitly stated national security reasons for the forced sale by US regulators was that Grindr's users include many high ranking US government officials and military personnel, making them vulnerable to blackmail.

China needs to move away from the liberal foreign worshipping Dengist mindset. Too many boomers in government that don’t understand how to fight the modern culture wars. Allowing feminism to thrive inside China is one monumental mistake of losing the culture war. The culture wars should be fought as fiercely as the anti-corruption movement.
Good luck with that. I understand that many of us are comfortable calling out the absurdities of modern feminism, which has caused real damage across the world, and China is not immune to its influence. Women’s suffrage, the sexual revolution, and hedonistic individualism have all contributed to this trend, and it’s only going to intensify.
However, trying to reverse this means rolling back women’s progress and curtailing rights that were fought for over generations. All societies eventually have to decide what kind of culture, family structure, and country they actually want to build and live in.
If you look across different social classes and income levels, the groups that tend to have larger families, lower divorce rates, and a stronger sense of duty and purpose are usually those who are more religious or hold traditional values. The CPC will have to strike a careful balance here. This issue could become even more complicated if Taiwan is reunified, since it would bring in a population with very different cultural attitudes.

A new combinational functional balance will come regardless, but how WW3 and its aftermath is handled will determine the details of that.

We cant blame all of the feminist propaganda on the west because Chinese feminist probably want to live like the Mosuo, an ethnic group in China where women rule.
They have this thing called walking marriage where a women can go through multiple husbands.

Its just a informal racial caste system. The reason a lot of people have deluded views like winnology is they still think they are inherently superior to Chinese is coz they...just are ok! At least with the west won the world war and they still have capital so money talks. But there are loads of other races like India or even places like Syria who hold such deluded views without having any real basis for it. The reason Slavs especially Russians sound dumb is because they don't have the same level of capital as the west and also heavily rely on the Chinese so they ought to show a bit more respect.

But at the end the day its just bargaining power. Compared to twenty years ago, I def think it was a lot worse compared to now. Back then people were more ignorant and back then China was in a weaker position. Now not so much so people start asking, who are you to look down on me? I notice I don't care so much what foreigners say now because what they say matters less since we know its just the ranting of people who don't want to accept their place in the pecking order is going down. Its funny how their views seem to matter a lot less when you notice their position power going down. And I also notice a lot more people have gone through the bargaining stage and accepted China is here to stay.

You have to realize the average person isn't as informed like this forum. It will take time. But things move much faster now due to information flow. As arab soft supapowa says the dogs bark, but the caravan goes on.
I dont think so. maybe Russian traveling to China are of lower quality. Russia has trade surplus with China and it can increase. they just dont want trade surplus.
Medvedev recently wrote book about traditional values and tech sovereignty is part of traditional value.
Russia conduct extremely extensive gatherings of world Islamic intellectuals routinely. Alot of stuff not in public.
Putin has said Russia is the land of rising Sun and Russia will grow with Arctic and all his incentives are to shift population to Far East with Soft Power. Putin will obviously understate what he spends on there otherwise the rest of Russians will ask for handouts thinking Russia is so rich. think $50T
$55B Russian olympics can become 100X in western monetary terms due to lack of Soft Power. This how they achieved best FIFA football cup by Royal Standards.
Putin gave Kazakh President A Hero for All Time award to encourage him for Abraham accord and Trump Peace board. i call it return of science without exposure to liberal Universities. Zelensky is there man. they think so high of themselves they let others do there work.

Police officers for Sochi were selected almost like astronauts.
December 6, 2013 Society Police officers for Sochi were selected almost like astronauts. Tomorrow, a joint detachment of Tatarstan police will depart from Kazan for Sochi. More than 800 envoys from Tatarstan will spend the next four months maintaining order in the Krasnodar Krai during the preparations for and hosting of the 2014 Winter Olympics and Paralympic Games. As a VK correspondent has learned, before their mission, they were sent to a two-week English language course at the Kazan Law Institute.
