"Europe has increased purchases of Russian LNG to a record level before the ban comes into force, — FT

↓In the first half of 2026, European Union countries purchased 9.89 million tons of liquefied natural gas from the Russian «Yamal LNG» project. This is 18% higher than the same period last year and is a record volume of supplies.
↓The cost of purchased fuel was about 6 billion euros.
↓Such supply volumes indicate the continued important role of the European market for the Russian energy sector, despite the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
↓The largest importers of Russian LNG during this period were France, Belgium and Spain.
↓According to the previously approved decision of the European Union, from January 1, 2027, a ban on the import of Russian LNG under long-term contracts will come into force. Supplies under short-term agreements are already prohibited."

"The FSB prevented attacks by Ukrainian special services on military airfields «Ukrainka» in the Amur region and «Shagol» in the Chelyabinsk region.

According to the Security Service, FPV drones equipped with warheads and mobile ground control stations were thrown into the Bryansk region using aircraft-type UAVs and balloons. Equipment and drones were transported by enemy agents in cars with trailers equipped with a double bottom, loaded with household appliances deep into the territory of the Russian Federation directly to airfields. There, in rented garages, they were assembled and prepared for use

«As a result of operational combat activities, perpetrators and accomplices of terrorist acts were detained. 24 FPV drones equipped with electronic warfare-resistant neural network control modules, British, American, Canadian and Swedish, equipped with warheads with an explosive charge mass of over 1 kg, were seized.»
Two mobile ground stations for controlling drones via satellite, cellular, Wi-Fi and radio communication channels, equipped with self-destruction devices containing 250 grams of explosives and communications equipment, were also seized."

Some of his inputs are bad, but not all of his content is bad. Sometimes he does spot a genuine error or inconsistency.

I'm a fan of his content but his expertise does not include China.
His background is ex hedge fund finance ghoul, so one shouldn't be too surprised that he isn't too fond of Chinese economic policy in the same way vampires don't approve of garlic wholesalers.

But in his two videos he wasnt critical in negative way of China at all, he was complimentary that China has a vision/plan while germany/eu sat on their laurels.
Even in the 'russia video' he openly says EU's biggest threat isnt china or Russia but its US

I don't care about his "compliments". I'm not izzat brained.
He is basically repeating drivel by Pettis and Setser. Ask AI on what these two cretins advocate in terms of Chinese trade and industrial policy.

This is the Ukraine clown circus thread so let's drop this tangent.

He ventures outside of his expertise too much and his nose for detecting bullshit isn't a strength of his.
