Hi,
any idea what kind of timeline we will be looking for rest of the three from Chinese side or their status.
thank you
Those "remaining" 3 are already built, the last one in December 2025, and all undergoing sea trials. Trials for Hangoor lasted 2 years.
Remaining trials expected to be quicker though, lessons learnt, crew training and all done.
Early 2027 maybe.
As of now, one Hangor-class submarine has been handed over.
• The
2nd boat (Shushuk) is in sea trials.
• The
3rd (Mangro) &
4th (Ghazi) are in the fitting-out phase.
• The
5th (Tasneem), keel laid on 27 Dec 2022, is in the final assembly hall & likely nearing launch.
• The
6th (Seem Maai), laid down on 14 Feb 2024, is also in the main assembly area.
The
7th boat (name not yet announced) is probably at the fabrication stage, although there’s been no confirmation of steel cutting so far. As for the
8th, there’s no clear information available yet.
