Something hit in central Tel Aviv. We know from last summer that IDF has an AD battery there but it clearly could not stop this,

Reports of a Lebanese public attack on US embassy

Irani hacker group, Handala, disabled Jordanian gas stations,

15 bases in 7 countries (excluding Israel) attacked on Day 1 by Iran,

I noticed that the Gulf states are not striking back at Iran. Bahrain, Qatar and UAE were all hit directly, yet they're not scrambling fighters and attacking Iran.

Lesson: don't be afraid of escalation. If you can hit hard enough, other countries will proactively look for excuses to not fight you if they have an offramp.
The best thing the Gulf States can do right now is to not retaliate at all in what is obviously a trap set by Israel to have the middleast in total chaos. Just let Iran obliterate American infrastructure in the region so it can then focus on lobbing missiles on Israel.

How is it Iran's fault for getting attack in the middle of negotiations

Turns out he didn’t really hide at all. Khamenei was mostly sitting at home the entire time for the last several weeks. Calling advisors and senior leaders to meet him there. Essentially creating their own decapitation event. Everyone clearly knew something was going to happen since Iran exported 3x the normal volume of oil a few days before it started. The Saudis also surged their exports during those few days.

If there's a retarded government in the region is the Jordanian monarchy.

Ali Khamenei was killed above ground in a meeting with his top advisors. That explains the unusual daytime attack since it was time sensitive. Trump used the nuclear deal talk to trick Khamenei into a false sense of safety so he attended his routine meeting with his advisors at the government compound.

As Israeli bombs fell on the supreme leader's compound in Tehran on Saturday morning, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was meeting above ground with several of his top advisers.

A week before the Geneva meeting, the U.S. and Israel agreed on a potential window for launching the attack — the coming Saturday, when Khamenei held a routine meeting with his top aides at his government compound.
  • But they faced a specific challenge: keeping Khamenei from suspecting anything and retreating to his underground bunker.
  • An Israeli intelligence official said an Axios story that mentioned the possibility of assassinating Khamenei created anxiety among military planners — but the Iranian leader didn't change his plans.

this is now the chance for Trump to save himself.
wait for the incoming Iranian "true promise" which will likely kill no one or maybe at most few soldiers. and then declare victory.

for Iran I will say. whoever the next Ayatollah is. hopefully he will have a clear mind. if you chose to keep on being an enemy of Israel then you have to have nukes. just get them from North Korea if you have to.

if you are unwilling or incapable of acquiring nukes. then go west. ditch the east. ditch Palestine. become a friend of Israel. become a crucial allie of Israel and you will have Israel's puppets in Washington kissing your....

though even if the futute leader of Iran wants to become a friend of US/Israel. that may be too difficult to achieve for him after the US killed those dozens of school girls since the people may not allow any Iranian leader to befriend America after what happened.

Hamas and Hezbollah were also tricked into holding a meeting, then gathering their advisors, only to be wiped out by a single Israeli bombing. The Iranians haven't learned this lesson.

In my view, adventurism and seizing the initiative will be the mainstream for the foreseeable future. All negotiations will be conducted on the premise that they could break down at any moment; 以打促和 To promote peace through fighting will be the basic tactic.

If you are confident and capable of handling an escalation, then go ahead and escalate, because an opponent of equal strength will most likely do the same. The law of the jungle has returned.

If Iran were to launch a preemptive strike while US troops are massing, it would actually have more leverage than it does now. But they lack both the capability and the courage.
No, it doesn't. This is exactly what Japan did and they lost because their economy is just not as big. There is no way for Iran to finish US off while there's a million ways for US to finish Iran off.

The real failing isn't that he got taken out in the first minute of the war if he's willing to martyr himself.
It's the fact they took out dozens of high ranking leadership at the same time because apparently they hold simultaneous meetings like an elite social event.

So they used multiple cruise missiles to demolish the whole place instead of having to rely on bunker busters which might have left survivors.

Surely nobody who considers them as terrorists will want to take them all out in a breach of diplomatic norms.
