It's my first time posting here but really i have to ask.
Why Fujian seems so "empty" and the Aircrafts on top of it always seem to be the same number (couple of each 3 types of aircrafts) and they're always in the same position? is something wrong? or it's just a photography thing or what's happening here?
Sorry for the very low quality post, just really needed to ask.
Nothing is wrong. They're just parked. I mean it was commissioned into service just 2.5 months ago, and this is only its second ever at-sea training session overall. It's going to take time to train and build up its air wing, especially with this being their first CATOBAR. You're not just gonna get a full air wing just like that two seconds after entering service. It will gradually build up its air wing with each training session.
Hard to know exactly how many aircraft were onboard for the first training session 1.5-two months ago, but it appears to be an increase here compared to the first, with eight aircraft on deck + maybe more below. We'll see more and more aircraft begin to be embarked on the
Fujian over time. If you want to know when it'll have a somewhat full-ish deck, maybe optimistically late this year or early 2027. If not, then maybe mid-2027 one could possibly see a full air wing onboard.
