I still don't understand the purpose of humanoid robots. Assembly line and logistics already have robots with specialised design which the human body can't match. Tphuang shared a shaving video and I feel like there is no need to automate shaving. Any man should atleast learn to shave.
They are pure hype in my opinion.
People are so starved for connection, I think the biggest market will be in artificial human companionship. People are already falling in love with their smart speakers and chatbots.
If you attach a pretty human face that can show different emotions, the game's over. People WILL get totally attached to these robots and spend tons of money on them. But that's just my opinion.
