This will keep happening until the time comes when China is willing to intervene. You can provide as much moral and even economic support as you like but if the other side is willing to use force don't expect your partners, especially distant ones, to last long even if they have the best intentions.
Is not only about willingness, it's about capability as well.

China currently doesn't have the military capability to credibly deter US from attacking Venezuela, that's it

Yeah China does not have the capability to deter US from attacking Venezuela yet. But I wonder if China can make the attempt a bloody messy one by dumping loads of low tech but highly effective insurgency weaponries into Venezuela, assuming the population has the will to fight

It was even reported in western media back in April and everything...

are realizing that Washington knows jack all about how CPC bureaucracy operates and thus has zero predictive power on what China will do next, so every time Xi drops a card it comes as a surprise? This noise about Li Chenggang is just another example of that.

Some in the Anglo ruling class do not find the prospect of Chinese drones dropping thermonuclear warheads on their heads to be very appealing or the prospect of resorting to cannibalism in fallout shelters and so they have advised and called for recognising China as a peer great power as opposed to a rival.

I don’t know but knowing how the Anglos operate, it does seem like the case of the song dynasty being forced to recognise the Liao and treat them as equals which meant they lost momentum and lost everything to the mongols afterwards anyhow.
