QBZ-191 service rifle family

He did mention that he couldn't shoot the qbz-191. Apparently, they used to only fire 5-10 bullets total on each exercise. It would be like 150 rounds a year. Gotta wait what they say.

Adding to my previous post, was he an HJ-8/HJ-12 or a HJ-10 gunner? Those two roles are in two completely different types of units.

I'm curious about the training you received for rifle qualifications without violating operational security. How many rronds do you all fire a year? I know that it takes a quite a lot of rounds to get proficient for civilians and soldiers here in the United States.

Unfortunately, we do not have much shooting training. We spend most of the year training with anti-tank missiles.

That’s like REALLY bad. How the hell can they afford aircraft carriers an stealth jets, but can’t let frontline troops get enough range time.

He's an anti tank weapon operator, support troops usually doesn't get as much range time with rifle, they focus their training on their weapon system.

Unfortunately, we do not have much shooting training. We spend most of the year training with anti-tank missiles.

Also, outside of special forces western soldiers don't spend thousands of ammo a year at range.

HJ-10 operators are basically meant to be more than 5 km away from the contact line, basically the last generation of FPV operators, no point in firing too many live rifle rounds.

Ah that makes a lot of sense then. Rifles are definitely a lower priority then for you guys.
