Very interesting to get his comment on this. Confirms the VLS under the lid I guess + the drone controller and the heat dissipation vent. Makes me wonder the thermal signature on this.

It makes me wonder if you have 3 guys operating the drones, recon UGV and everything else, what's the point of still having tanks. Just protect this vehicle really well and you are all set. You can destroy any armored vehicle with your VLS or unmanned assets. And the 2 guys in front just need to protect the vehicle and drive around. Situation awareness is so good with so many sensors.

Also, what's the tube looking things at the back of the vehicles and next to the door hatch? Is that suppose to be some kind of launchers also?
Direct fire with high caliber is still needed for infantry support. I think the fact that they've gone with 105mm for the main gun also indicates they probably aren't looking to engage other MBTs with the tank anyways.

There's an identical box on the other side at the back. An identical drone? Or something else?
Good point, looks like that box can open up
Question about this for everyone.

1) I assume that's the heat dissipation vents. That is huge. Have we seen the tank with a similarly large vent? It'd be curious just to think about how much heat it is giving off to require such a large vent or maybe this just allows better air circulation and natural cooling.
2) What are those tubes?
3) That's a lot of sensors looking at the back. makes me wonder just what type of usage they plan to require that much situation awareness to the rear.

I think no. 2 are the smoke launchers that were moved back so as to not interfere with the APS's operation given the space and size constraints.

okay cool. That's what I would've guessed too. Just found it weird they are so far to the back.

Number 2 are various items which collectively act as top attack protection system. The Type 100 tank has the exact same elements on the turret roof. The sensors seen in number 3, are also on the tank turret.

As for number 1 (radiator and air intake), I´m positive its exactly the same on the tank. Removing them from the vehicle´s front allowed a nice angle for sloping the front armor (upper front plate).
