Terrence Tao speaks Cantonese, so maybe Hong Kong or Guangzhou? English is widely used for mathematics even on the mainland for academic publication purposes, so should be no problem. His salary at UCLA is like

Chyyynaaa!!!

India has plenty of specialists indeed. Don't forget to hire Indian CEOs too. They are the best in the world.

A Japan that far behind in the semi-conductor, software, and AI race, coupled with an India that is nowhere in the race. This is gonna become the best collaboration ever.

How is this gonna be achieved? Energy efficiency? Renewables? EVs? When Japan works with the Supapowar, anything is possible.

The E5 Shinkansen for the Supapowar is old news already. It's HSR project is taking so long that the E5 is probably phased out for the E10 when it is completed. Jai Hind!
You mean."Banzai,Jai Hind" and "Tenno heika Banzai Akhand Bharat"-This "collaboration" of these jaihind frauds/scammers and an aging desperate "Dai" Nippon will be so good......for China. After an influx(invasive immigration) of these jaihinds even the Japanese will be wishing that the hated "chankoro-chinks" Chinese would come back. What could possibly go wrong?? ;) ;) Wishing them both not well LMAO

He could ask for 7 mil a year and HK will still find a way. China will probably help with the funding too.

But its not really a money issue for academics like him.

Damn when I first posted about his funding cut, I thought it was just a temp thing that could be resolved. But it seems its a big enough deal for him to consider leaving.

Anyway the best option for him is probably going to Hong Kong. Technically his parents are from there plus they studied there. He can speak Cantonese while the actual stuff is still formally done in English since its an official language. It makes far more sense going to Hong Kong than China which will have too much cultural difference.
Probably Singapore. Hong Kong is definitely still very Chinese.

There's a Chinatown in Singapore, but putting a Chinatown in Hong Kong would be a joke.

Why doesn't the Chinese embassy in Panama fund news articles and stir up nationalistic fervor against trump in Panama for trying to take back the Panama canal? How is it that the US is threatening to annex the canal, has put troops back in Panama and still is able to try and influence Panama against china?

China had got to learn that this non interference strategy is not working.

Denmark summons top US envoy over ‘covert operations’ in Greenland

Denmark summoned the top U.S. diplomat in Copenhagen on Wednesday after Danish media reported that Americans with ties to President Donald Trump had carried out covert influence operations in Greenland.

Danish broadcaster DR reported that at least three U.S. citizens linked to the U.S. government were involved in activities that, reportedly, authorities fear could be used covertly to support Trump’s desire to make Greenland part of the United States.

Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen said the U.S. chargé d’affaires — currently its most senior diplomat in Denmark — had been summoned in response. He called any interference in Danish affairs “unacceptable,” and emphasized that Copenhagen “will of course not accept covert operations on our territory,” in a statement emailed by his ministry, according to the AP.

“It worries me greatly because we do not spy on friends,” Rasmussen also said in response to a report in The Wall Street Journal.

According to DR, one of the men compiled lists of Greenlanders supportive of, or critical toward, U.S. influence, while others
maintained political and business contacts on the island. It was unclear whether they acted independently or under direction from U.S. officials.

The move comes amid ongoing tensions over Greenland, a mineral-rich, self-governing Danish territory. Earlier this year, Trump told CNN that Washington would “100 percent” gain control of Greenland, even repeatedly threatening to use military force.

Greenland is strategically important for U.S. military and Arctic security interests. Contacted by DR, Denmark’s security and intelligence service, known as PET, said the territory “is the target of influence campaigns of various kinds” and had strengthened monitoring in cooperation with Greenlandic authorities.
Americans with ties to President Donald Trump had carried out covert influence operations in Greenland.

Can't stir up nationalism against people who have been brutalized and dominated by US for centuries. They are utterly subservient.

China can only stir up nationalism when it has strong enough military presence to back up these countries against US aggression. Otherwise, these countries will likely remain subservient.
