I know this is my second post about this, but can anyone explain the Maga meltdown over 600k chinese students? And it's not really limited to Maga as I've seen.

For all I know international students are just academic tourists, and the ones who choose to stay and settle in America , are known to be the backbone of America's lead in innovation . Or "brain gain" as opposed to brain drain.

So what's exactly being lost?

Am I underestimating American stupidity?

Because the Chinese students are gonna steal all the non-existent technology that they will come up with, even though they barely passed 1st year linear algebra with a 60% and probably failed level 1 multivariable calculus atrociously and eventually decided to switch to communications. Yes incoming Chinese students will steal all the mighty technological innovations of all these American geniuses.

Total international students in the U.S. between 2023 and 2024 was under 1.2 million. This will pretty much triple the number of Chinese students in U.S.
