Indian and French companies have signed a technical cooperation and transfer agreement for fourth-generation engines. The Indians have really struck gold here, managing to acquire the technology for advanced engines simply by paying money.

I am deeply concerned about the Western world's endless technological assistance to India.

Guys ... final warning after again deleting several purely political post and again a reminder: This thread is an "Indian military NEWS thread!" Not a political one (although this is often difficult to separate) but posting nonsense-site like IDRW and discussing terror operations of options to kill senior Pakistani political & military leaders is clearly political.

Any next such post will lead to an immediate 6 month ban!

I looked into it, and it is indeed true that the plan is still under discussion. I was too quick to believe a rumour.
There are apparently talking with both safran and roll royce about this, it hasnt been confirmed from any neutral or french source yet,
One french page i found was just source indian article as its source so it was just a round loop.

There was news that Indian Gov wants to do Gov to Gov deal with france and skip the 'tender' system they do for the new 114 rafale deals tho
some posts on defensepk,
Bruh,
Were there any deals discussed on China diplomat visit to India? Some people said 50-50 civilian projects, tech transfer, rare earth were involved in the talk.
The REE stuff has been stuck past few months after China found 50-60 indian companies stockpiling and re-selling outside, it took this long to smooth things over for the auto-industry and other to start getting it.
The civil projects are those giant drills that have been 'stuck' in china for a while, getting those cleared up.. idk what would even be tech-transfer? That sounds way too big-fast for just 1 meet.

The most important talks was the China-india border talk, india has 'apparently' conceded talks about the 'Sikkim' sector
The 2nd best thing to come out was from China side about India saying 'Taiwan is part of china' after like 20 years.

With the recent downturn of US-india relations any icbm type stuff is gonna be looked upon badly by US.
If they are working on angi 6 etc they shouldnt test it out.

Meanwhile India has approved $7.4 billion worth of more Tejas's
