It seems to be a testbed based of a highly modified Z-20 airframe, notice how the cockpit windshield arrangement is exactly the same but has an elongated nose and a vastly different fuselage and tail.
Yeah, I noticed the differences. For some reason when I first saw this I instantly thought of the Z-20... You are probs right about this being a overall new airframeThat's just called having a cockpit windshield arrangement which is similar.
The fuselage/airframe itself overall should be quite different -- everything from landing gear, to size and bulkheads.
