Chinese Aviation Industry

500 aircraft isn’t really that many aircraft in the grand scheme of Chinese needs over the next two decades.

China needs thousands of aircraft for their domestic market if demand rises as expected.

At current production rates, it would take Boeing quite some time to deliver those aircraft.

I am not sure the 500 aircraft would be as big of a deal as it may seem at first glance.

Is demand really going to rise in face of competition from high speed rail. Even Europe doesn't have much air traffic as North America because railways are well developed.

Last time I checked demand is impacted by high speed rail. The price actually dropped a lot.
