Yankee called it 警塞冬 "poseidon" so maybe even nuclear armed/propulsion like its russian counterpart. (Edited to remove something i shouldn't post as 'definitely'/reduced confident rhetoric)

This might be one of those thing that was touted to "shake western watchers" (or some rhetorical equivalent)

He said 鳖塞冬, which is a play on word where 鳖 means China/CCP. So "Poseidon - Chinese ver"

What are the pros of Poseidon torpedo? thousands of mile range?

If this is indeed a Poseidon torpedo, they are operational or still in development?

Poseidon is a very notional capability to deliver a nuclear warhead against a coastal installation, bypassing American BMD.

I am not convinced China is thinking along such lines. As someone else on Twitter pointed out, the designation of the carrier vehicle indicates an uncrewed system, ie a drone, and perhaps as such not a weapon. Although the distinction is not always clear, nowadays.

In theory Poseidon could be used to strike port facilities. But it could also be used to strike carrier battle groups in the ocean.
In theory yes but it’s only use in war is after nukes have been used as using it first would invite nuclear retaliation what would far outweigh the benefits of destroying a carrier strike group or port facilities
