Btw do you know anyone in Qingdao that can paint a clear picture for me? Do people there really worship Germany? Because it’s ironic due to most of the German style building we’re actually built during the Japanese occupation and the famous sewer system only make up a small part of the city sewer system.

I dont think its US fault. Putin may have done it deliberately to these journalists. when these journalist complain everyone will see US bad hospitality. Putin and alot of other Planes arrived from Russian Far East without staying overnight in Alaska. These Journalists dont need to spend night there and Putin favorite journalist did not complain. Only Putin can create such spectacle. I think Putin want good relations with US government but not necessary with people.

They project the PLA to have only 1062 main battle tanks in 2030, less than a third of what the PLA has right now?
No-one worships Germany in Qingdao. People know history, know the Germans (and Japanese) had set up there, know that their presence, although a violation of sovereignty, did bring some benefits, that they were eventually kicked out, and that some of the buildings they left behind have become very distinctive landmarks.
These are treated as historical facts with little emotional baggage, because Qingdao evolved these influences into something quintessentially its own. A clear example is that most foreigners don't even know Tsingtao Beer was originally started by the Germans.
Are these numbers supposed to be for the forces in the Eastern and Southern Theaters only, or is it for the total PLA forces? Either way, they seem way off. There's only 160 J-20s here when there are probably at least twice as many in service already, and there's no J-35As. And this is supposed to account for all procurement up to 2030? It feels like you'd get better numbers off of wikipedia and just guessing.
No mention of ZTQ-15 either. Sure, they're unlikely to be deployed to Taiwan, but you can't just assume that.
It is not uncommon for Chinese schools to be unhinged. We had incidents of profs telling people to marry foreigners to improve gene pool, opium war is British helping Chinese quit drugs, text books that straight up glorify Japanese atrocity, etc. Pressuring girls to have sex with foreigner is not really out there.
I grew up as a kid in China. There is a strong pressure to 'be nice to foriegners' to facilitate better relations to others, often to the point of reverse racism where people treat foreigners better than domestics. That was 20 years ago, I am not sure if trend changed since then. I suspect not. The politicians incentive schools to bend backward to please internationals to 'facilitate good international image' might still be a thing.
