Miscellaneous News

1 and 2 are huge red flags for someone being stupid though... He might not be quite as stupid as the harshest jokes make him out to be but he's definitely at least kinda stupid judging by a lot of the things he says (outside of the Iran/Israel conflict).
Trump is obviously more intelligent than the majority of human beings, but his intelligence is lower than what would be expected/desired for a national leader (or even high government official) and would be more suited for corporate middle management.

With India’s demographics (~1.8 billion by 2050) and their wide adoption of the internet & use of the English language, pretty much any popular platform that doesn’t explicitly exclude Indians will be dominated by them in the coming decades. If people think Western & Chinese brigading is bad, wait until the Indians start dominating that space; any opinions that run contrary to Indian interests will be down voted / reported / cancelled.
If current trend continues India will be colonized by this new Arab empire. they will control what India can do or say in world and this not limited to India but many countries will be in same boat.
with in months of this Iranian drone attack on Ukraine. UAE official single out Europe for not dealing with Iran according to there standards. if Iran sells BMs to Russia. Russia will glady accept it.

UAE says European ties with Gulf need to be strategic not ‘transactional

Gargash reiterated a call for "explicit" security assurances from traditional Western allies, especially in dealing with the threat from Iranian drones that Gulf states have long warned about.

It was not until these weapons "made it into the Ukraine theatre" that they were "catapulted" into the spotlight, and "suddenly the world rediscovered this issue", Gargash said.

What is this insanity? Are these countries actually serious about a 5% GDP commitment on military spending? How? Why? Are they trying to bankrupt their countries?

The saddest thing about all this is that I doubt that any of these countries will get a significantly stronger military out of it. The only exception might be Poland since at least they seem to be serious about increasing their capabilities. For everyone else, the military budget isn't the reason why their militaries aren't stronger. The main problem is that their military structures are rotten and increasing the budget doesn't do a damned thing to fix their actual problems.
