Xi and Trump talking already?

Thought China is going to take its sweet time. Empty shelves, let US suffer.

Looks like Trump asked and China obliged. Easy.

Oh, Trump wins!!! That's what he said he would do! He campaigned saying that he would eventually be able to get Xi to pick up a phone call that he makes, and he got it. Promises kept! Don't worry about deals or winning over China or the negative GDP US numbers. Talking to Xi is such an honor, that makes up for everything.

Read the article and what I wrote again.

China keeps on answering Trump's call for talks and negotiation. So much for widespread shut down of western industries and empty shelves.

Because Xi is a God King, whose breath over the phone can fill shelves and revitalize Western industries?

Im going to give you a preview with what's going to happen as part of these ongoing negations and trade deals.

There is going to be some relaxation of rare earth exports. In exchange Trump will relax some of the restrictions on china.

Maybe, maybe not. Sounds semi-reasonable so far except China really doesn't need any restrictions to be relaxed because they only boost China's self-drive.

Tariffs will come down to a certain level that is livable for both countries.

That's not a preview; that has already happened.

Chinese suppliers will eat some of it (some of them have already done so as part of their negotiations with their retailers).

Sorry, I already defeated your wishful thinking about the future and you posted an article defeating your own wishful thinking on the present/past. All tariffs are on Americans to bear; they will eat the shit they started.

The remaining portions will be passed on to consumers and absorbed by the retailer themselves.

And you forgot the most important preview, which is that China continues to outgrow the US economically and technologically, dropping the US down from trying to cripple China's rise to trying to prevent itself from going belly up. That's the new win that America's going for.

And much better prepared that Trump is for China. Did he even prepare? It's all just him tripping over himself.

But deep down China wants to be friends with America.

Ahhhhh this is that dumbass American misunderstanding of Chinese culture that got it to drop its guard for the decades when it could still have suppressed China. And it's not even China being slick. It's open literature/media that all Chinese people have understood that the CCP considers America the enemy, with goals from the Soviet times to surpass America. However, China noted that on the world stage, friends of America get richer while enemies of America get poorer, and China was nowhere near strong enough to change this trend so it needed to flow with it. And thus, all the stupid Americans were fooled into thinking that China wanted to be America's friend, until China had developed a larger economy and superior technology and it was too late. Some American politicians have woken up to this now, but there are some exceptionally stupid people who have still not realized it. I must say, this kind of stupidity is rare for even a Trump supporter; they all know by now that China is an enemy state that has only the worst of plans for America.

A lot of countries that are sick of America's shit. China's just one of them on that list.

Yeah, China wants to get the US back into position so it can continue draining America economically and technologically. The juice can's not totally empty yet. When it is, the ultimatum will come. Until then, you just keep comforting yourself that we all really wanna be friends with you.

OK no. There will be no friendship or (economic/political) peace between China and America until America recognizes its decline and mellows down like the new Europe, accepting the new Chinese era. They're just meeting because Trump has been begging too much and Xi wants to know where he's at on caving. A handshake is just a nice picture to show us we're not knocking at the door of WWIII yet.

It ain't what you think. China wants to come off as pragmatic. Trump doesn't hence why the world is turning off from Trump and the US which is what China wants to avoid for itself. All you have to ask is why does the US have all these complaints if these tactics work? Look at the great deal Trump arranged in Geneva and look at how the US complains that China broke its word... China is dragging you along because you think it works but the US is still complaining. That's the point and look how China is looking favorable in the world over the US.

He can always move his businesses to China, I hear Hainan might be building something that might be of interest to him ;-)
