They think they're doing a we'd rather nobody has this research than Chinese researcher have it, what they get is only China has this research.

Is there a photo of this thing?

We also don't know if the J-50 and J-36 prototypes are indeed prototypes or X-planes.

J-36 and J-50 are both prototypes. China has never revealed any X-plane publicly. Even J-9 barely had photos of the plane shown to the public 30 years after its rejection.

Jokes aside there does appear to be a lot of gloating which is pretty deserved for the Americans. However based off the aircraft render itself from the two images we've seen, The design looks pretty unique and impressive, clearly builds a lot off the X-36 and I'm really intrigued by the potential dihedral wing. The F-47 could potential turn out to be insanely impressive in terms of capabilities, they've definitely gone all out on the design of this aircraft, I can see how this proposal from Boeing was "more revolutionary" than what lockheed's proposal could've been. This is no time to be only joking about the aircraft and it's development.
Not sure aircraft that's at best a J-20 copy and at worst a Iranian F-313 copy can be considered unique even for 5th gen...

Also keep in mind NGAD program was put on pause to cut cost, and it's current cost target is cheaper than F-22, and you know what will definitely reduce cost? Not having to do R&D on developing control system and laws for a tailless supersonic lifting body.

Considering Boeing hasn't developed any fighter for 50 years, i.e. nobody alive, and all the other problems Boeing has, and America's dire fiancial situation that just saw Department of Education cut, and the cost cap placed on F-47, honestly I would be super impressed if F-47 ever make it to production.

Canards mean the flight control system of F-47 isn't as good as the Chinese one.

I'm applying the same logic they applied to the J-20
Apply the same logic, if "we don't have enough info from actual flight test to call J-36 a 6th gen fighter", then we certainly don't have enough info from CG of half a plane which might or might not have a vertical stabilizer to say F-47 is or will ever be a 6th gen fighter

J-20S has been promoted from 5.5 to 5.75 gen since this reveal.

Honestly I think you're jumping to far too many conclusions. Why is everyone now so arrogant about China's now perceived military superiority? The USA's air force and technological capabilities are still top notch and Boeing defense has done stealth research for decades. Literally becoming the Americans in terms of arrogance with nothing to show for it, all that has been shown is 2 renders of the aircraft, please can we have more logical and sensible discussions on this forum?

While I agree that those conclusions are silly if they're being taken seriously, I feel like there's a rather strong hint of humour and deliberate exaggeration among conversations of those tones.

I like humorous comments every once in a while, but it's been pretty much non stop gloating for a few pages, I think it needs to be toned down a little, at least in my opinion.

As you succintly said, all you got are 2 renders of half an aircraft, one of them with a failed attempt at airbrushing out the canard, but sure we're "literally becoming the Americans" by stating the objective fact that China have TWO tailless supersonic lifting body that actually flies.

If I want to "literally become American", I'd be saying China is already flying 7th gen and point to research paper on combined cycle suborbitals... oh wait, China also already flew that one, lol

I mean, US put out CG render of half a plane, named it after Trump's presidential term, put canards on it, something they claimed for 14 years to be the halmark of non-stealth, and then get Trump out on camera proclaim it the the most advanced in the world....

That's just asking for it, and no people won't stop, ever.
