Perhaps it is time for China to 'rip off the band-aid' and just fully decouple from the US now? Would reduce the costs of any Taiwan operation.

fully decouple means decouple from many other places. I have read in Arabic language that in globalization every one ass is attached to each other. They have done there own study about Europe if US withdraws and Europe economic conditions decline that can impact there wealth, supply chains and lead to conflicts.
