The irony is that it was predictable, Chinese AI models have become for the size quite good, is not just DeepSeek but also GLM, Yi, Qwen their models really close to US models in benchmarks. Qwen recent models are as good as bigger models. QwQ 32 is a reasoning beast and is just the preview model, the final model will be likely as good or better as DeepSeek R1 AND all of this companies and institutions are as hardware limited as DeepSeek. Is like a train moving in motion.

They’ve been in different stages of grief since the CHAD reveal a month ago. Just when they are about to reach acceptance stage President Xi gives them something new to be in denial about.
