You mean, like, everything Russia & Iran used to do before they got hit with sanctions and HAD to stop? Lol. Just take Russia for example:
1) Russia was selling cheap energy to Europe even after NATO pooped in its backyard (Ukraine) and was even willing to continue doing that after the war began.
2) Russian market was absolutely dominated by Western brands, even some Russian brands had to pose as Western ones (e.g. Bork - Russian company which basically sold rebranded Chinese goods but positioned themselves as German, even registering a fake GmbH there, lol) in order to gain success. Even now, there is still a large stream of Western goods coming to the country through China, Kazakhstan, Armenia, etc. and Russians are still willing to eat up the costs & buy this stuff. The situation with domination of foreign brands on Russian market was and still is WAY worse than China.
3) Russia never did anything substantial against Israel either, so what's ur point?

So basically, if these fairly mundane things make China pro-Western, then both Russia and Iran are pro-Western. Contrast that to attitudes of some Russians and Iranians who look down on China because of some innate racism and inferiority complex towards Europe. The latter is more indicative of being pro-Western than simply doing business with them.

Russia was not selling cheap energy. it was through long term contracts paid by Soviet infrastructure. only thing new was Germany related energy infrastructure. the top brand in Russia in electronics were Asian.

Sometime it helps to switch perspectives, there are also a lot of Russians and Iranians who think China's the one who's too pro-western (and they talk about this on their forums), I mean, China does massive trade with US and EU, sells dual-use goods to them including ones used to kill Russians, allow Apple and Tesla to sell in China, and allow western brands to dominate Chinese market for decades, etc. China even does massive amount of business with Israel with Chinese EVs the top seller in the country. Compare that to Russia currently fighthing in Ukraine, or Iran fighting against Israel, China is practically pro-western, only from a Chinese perspective do people appreciate the long term strategy and tactical choices, and not without complaints over the years.

As it stands Iran has just bombed Israel twice this year with practically no consequence, have been giving weapons to Yemen to do the same plus blockade the Red Sea to practically no consequence, all while launching their own satellites on their own rocket and has a per-capta GDP higher than India while under sanctions. Israel meanwhile is still struggling in Gaza to this day, getting attacks on a regular basis by Iranian proxies on their border even after all the assassinations, and its economy is basically now entirely kept alive by US life support. If it was Iranian capital struck regularly by Israeli proxies, Israli hypersonic missiles, and its Iran resorting to assassinating Israeli proxy leaders to little effect, you would not be saying Iran is in a good position.

Iran and China are ultimately on the same side, the fact that they're a sovereign nation with independent policy, as opposed to the vassal relation US has with their "allies", while create challenges vassals don't, also give them more power that vassals can't provide.

The fact is the Israeli counter strike was so short it had to because they aborted. Scott Ritter said they had to have at least two waves. The first one was to hit air defenses to clear the way for the strike aircraft to go after their primary targets. Somewhere along the line they aborted because of how short it was overall possibly because Russian type air defenses locked on and the Israeli retreated.

Iran’s more capable missiles impacted on the ground and you saw it the videos released. They weren’t all intercepted. The next strike if Israel escalated would probably targeted the cities. If you know Iran had the capability to use missiles that Israel had a hard time intercepting, you would be thinking twice on the next move.

That's why I think China doesn't bother giving so much help to Iran despite some guys thinking they should.

Someone said Iran is like Russia. Both were once empires of the past and are trying so hard to get back their glory. So they are both full of pride.

Iranian people don't exactly have such positive views on China despite the aid given so far. And they still think they are the same as whites and will be accepted to the west club. Iran is so proud of itself then surely it can take care of itself.

China isn't gonna give out free aid for no reason. If it's just gonna give aid so Iran can try harder to join the west out of some racial pride, then it's better for China to use that money on itself.

Even Russia is more humble when dealing with China now. So Iran better start learning some humility coz they are in no position to act arrogant now.

Iran and Russia are the most dissimilar countries thats why there cooperation is so hard to establish. This religion in practice is extremely difficult and costly to implement thats why so many failed states are part of the Islamic world. Iran may or may not recognize that fact. Iran also lacks the intellect to understand West/Christianity even though it wants to become part of West.
Putin inspiration is Solzhenitsyn who mentioned the failure of Russia's Tsars to “understand the evolution of the world and to define true priorities” a result of some Jewish-Masonic machination. that evolution basically means that Jews are the new Scientific leaders (indirectly admitting the decline of Christianity) Putin i think understood but this Ukraine conflict further reinforces it that pure and clean blood society can only be created from ground up. remember that HIV link from Israel. i know more about this topic but basic point is what worked in previous centuries are not working in 21 century and thats why so many Russian delegations went to Iran to emphasize it and Iran related topic is put in multiple tweets to show what Russia is doing for Arabs.

With the loss of Syria and Hezbollah, Iran is no longer a Middle-Eastern power, but seeing as how they're still one of the most important countries for China's geostrategy, one only hopes they acquire nukes soon so they can for once make themselves somewhat useful.

Theoretically, direct military protection. But of course China still abides by non-interference, and Russia isn't exactly seen as a credible global security partner anymore after losing both Armenia and Syria. Improve the economy, but its been years since China has signed the strategic partnership with Iran and I'm guessing China doesn't really go all out, seeing as how in a place like Iran much of the aid is squandered by corruption.

So I don't really see any solution other than pray for the best or if that's too general and wishful, pray that Iran's further ahead in its nuclear program than the media portrays.

What choice do they even have?

In my opinion Iran should go the FEDERALISM route:

I understand that Federalism for Iran might seem radical at first glance, but I truly believe it could be a path towards a more stable and prosperous future for their nation.

While It's true that national unity is paramount. But let's be honest, the current centralized system is struggling to contain the diverse aspirations of their people. We should not deny that there's social unrest; the economic disparities between regions, and the persistent calls for greater autonomy from their minority groups.

So rather than fearing fragmentation, I believe Federalism could MAYBE strengthen their unity. It would allow each province to address its unique challenges and aspirations within a framework that preserves their shared identity as Iranians. It's about recognizing its diversity as a source of strength, not a threat to their cohesion or even identity.
Of course, such a proposal would require another revolution to force the hands of the current Elites that's running the country.

But, with the direction it's heading why not take the chance whose outcome maybe more tenable (retaining its full sovereignty), rather than become another puppet to the western powers.

Isn't federalism the same ideology that the insane Chonglang people want for China? The one where each province gets its own flag and Shanghai's one is a throwback to when it had foreign concessions?
