DHAHRAN, Saudi Arabia - The 1945 meeting between President Franklin D. Roosevelt and King Abdul Aziz of Saudi Arabia fortified relations between the two nations; however, U.S. interests in Saudi Arabia actually began a few years prior.
King Abdul Aziz would not agree to allow the U.S. to build the base unless the British indicated their "no-objection" in writing, Hart wrote. After high-level talks between the U.S. and Britain, the United Kingdom informed the King of their approval of the airfield in May 1945 -- fearing that their aviation landing rights in the U.S. may be threatened if they did not. The U.S. and Saudi Arabia then signed the Dhahran Airfield Agreement in August 1945. The agreement was modified in 1946.

LOLOL They're generous because they have to be; without throwing around their money, they are nobody and can deal with nobody. They are "sophisticated" only by third world standards; in the modern world, we don't call anyone sophisticated when they know nothing about technology. And they are polite because they have no military power but have to deal with the West which constantly teeters between buying middle-eastern oil or killing people for it.

They are not going to tell on your face what they actually did nor not did.

Because like Joe Biden, they are not intelligent enough to know what they did or did not do. And that has left a window for you to imagine what they did or did not do. My grandmother also did not like to tell people what she did or did not do... so it's easy to guess that she single-handedly modernized China's military and economy by herself.

Ukrainian and western leadership should have pursued this diplomatic path before going to war and losing countless lives on both sides. If they didn't blunder through their arrogance, it would be less likely for Russia to be so firmly pro-China and becoming a Chinese client state. Arrogance pure arrogance still on display by western pundits and leadership. True across the entire spectrum particularly when it comes to their understanding of China and their understanding of their own abilities.
