Don't oversimplify things. Even if you want to use Occam's razor. It usually boils down to these things:
1) Beneficiary of an establishment. I.e.: Money. Yes this is your argument. But it's only one of them, and it's usually for the more affluent people. They are also not the most loyal or trustworthy people.
2) Ideology. These people are not motivated money, but by an outdated ideology where the white men are supreme. These are the same type of self-hating losers that we talk about in places like HK, Singapore, and the West. These people are not rich, but are also some of most fanatic haters of anything China. These are the ones we see rioting on the streets. Most of them don't even need to get paid to hate.
Money motivates the affluent. Ideology motivates the stupid.
Lol apparently Vietnam has awarded India the contract to build its HSR.
Guess Su Lin's talk in China didn't went far.
So Japan got the contract?Lol apparently Vietnam has awarded India the contract to build its HSR.
Guess Su Lin's talk in China didn't went far.
No, loyalty does matter, even if its motivated purely by money. The US doesn't operate like in your spy novels. They don't just want to buy info, they want to buy control. Control allows them to do things, like Ukraine. Not being loyal/reliable is unimportant to the US in this matter. I (US) just want information, it’s strictly transactional. The reliability can be cross-referenced.
Again, you over-simplify. "New Mercedes" is only for the a few people in high places. You can't be handing out "new Mercedes" to everyone to buy their loyalty. Why is ideology relevant? Because that's how you organize the masses to do what you want. That's how you make things happen. How do you get the average idiot to hate the Chinese? Through indoctrination via the media, education system, and religion. Do it long enough, and the ideology far outlasts any money you've spent on bribing.Ideology is pretty much irrelevant. Why does someone in Malaysia care about helping China? HK and even Singapore are different, one is actually a part of China, and the other is a Chinese ethnic-majority country.
Any other explanation besides “new Mercedes” is overthinking it.
Source? Or are you just kidding?Lol apparently Vietnam has awarded India the contract to build its HSR.
