The fact that the U.S. is being judged based on its performance in Ukraine, a country thousands of miles away, goes to show, once again, how the U.S. is exceptionally different. No other country is held to such expectations that it can control conflict zones to which it notionally is not a party.

Actually the supply chain for Ukraine are much nearer than Russia. Europe is Flat land with well developed US bases for storing arms and Ukrainians are trained in Germany/ Eastern EU which is much near to Ukraine. Russia industrials are in Urals and training down South in mountainous Caucuses and all the way to Syria/Tajikistan.

Um no, monoclonal antibody to test arthritis are not that survival. Lots of companies can make it. the vast majority is made by Samsung in Korea. China makes biologic antibodies as well that's just as effective.

Jaki are the newest thing, more effective than biologic antibodies for arthritis. It's mainly made in India and China.

Btw US can't make 5 nm either at volume either. So try to cope harder.

Most US semi manufacturing capacity is in what people call "legacy nodes". Try looking into the fabs owned and operated by Texas Instruments, Micron, ON Semiconductor, Qorvo, Skyworks, Diodes, etc.

The only companies with so called leading edge processes headquartered in the US are Intel and GlobalFoundries. GlobalFoundries has less leading edge FinFET process manufacturing capacity than SMIC. They are also stuck at 12nm. They have less capacity period. Intel has managed to get worse density with their DUV machines than SMIC. Samsung and TSMC either have or are building advanced process fabs in the US but they are not US companies.

China has no semiconductor-exclusive ish firm that makes anywhere clear to Intel, or is able to match ultimately, the combined revenues of U.S. semiconductor companies - especially once you add in Qualcomm, Broadcom, Nvidia, AMD, and the rest.

Huawei competes in tons of market segments so it’s hard to compare Huawei against one specific firm; but the U.S. ICT sector - adding in Meta, Apple, AWS, Alphabet/Google, Microsoft, Cisco, IBM, Dell, EMC, Supermicro, ServiceNow, etc is once again larger than any like comparison of Chinese firms - Huawei, ZTE, Baidu, Alicloud, Tencent, and a bunch of startups.

If you add the revenues of all U.S. aerospace firms - Boeing, Lockheed, Northrop, and General Dynamics - and compare it against AVIC and COMAC; the U.S. has substantially more revenues. Since there are substantial military revenues with all of them, the commercial comparison is better since that is where most of the market competition comes from, and there, Boeing Commercial Aircraft is leagues beyond COMAC

Naming companies was being illustrative on the depth and complexity of firms that no one else can match (even your attempt at corrections only went into Intel and Boeing, and ignored the rest).

Chinese drones are the only thing that allowed Ukraine to hold for as long as it did, and Ukraine only has Chinese drones because China still allow America to buy it.

US is being judged in Ukraine because US alone proclaimed they will do "whatever it takes" to help, has given hundreds of billions to help, donated and lost thousands of pieces of equipment to the point of emptying their own national stockpile, covertly lost thousands of men in foreign legion, mercenaries and covert ops, and in the end none of them carried as much weight as consumer drones from a country that's not even verbally participating.

America's war in Ukraine, just like their currency and their economy, is entirely backed by Chinese good will and ends at China's mercy.

Every time I think, maybe Japan has finally gotten a spinal implant surgery... this snaps me back to reality. They're not even nationalists for Japan itself which is the saddest thing, they're nationalists for US/Germany/Netherlands. Yes, specifically those, not even just generic white country.
