Wtf is this new subject to demonize China?
Not justifying this at all, but it's not like the "troubled teen" industry doesn't exist in the US and other countries. Famously Paris Hilton was a victim of this when she was a child and has performed advocacy work towards this issue, 60 minutes Australia also made a documentary about this:
So framing this as almost an issue exclusive to China or how it's more insidious because Chinese schools are doing it (like in the video) when we know this is a worldwide problem when bad parents aren't able to understand or empathize with their alienated teenage children seems more like a way of slandering a specific country rather than focusing on the issue at large, which is disappointing.
Also, the top comment on the video saying "CCP will censor this" when Sixth Tone (a Chinese outlet) articles, CCTV exposés, various popular Chinese videogames and tv shows have been made about this topic is really funny to me.
