I'm no expert on Islam, so I'll agree with your opinion about "Allah". I only claim to understand Islam as an outside observer looking in. I don't think there is anything wrong with the religion in its original form. My problem is only with the crazed extremists, the Wahabis, who twist Islam in their own way to hurt and abuse others.Bit off topic,
Allah and God are not interchangeable.
God is a noun, written in Arabic as إله.
Allah is a proper noun, i.e. the name of (the Islamic) god, written as الله.
In Christianity, you'd say the name of god is Jesus/Son or the Father. In Satanism, you'd say the name of god is Lucifer.
Arab non-Muslims like Christians, for reasons unknown to me, use the word Allah to refer to their god.
But on the matter of "God" in contemporary Christianity. It is used as a name to describe the ultimate creator. For example, Jesus is the son of God, angels were created by God, God created men in his image etc. But when the word "god" is used outside of Christianity, then it becomes a regular noun to describe any omnipotent entity that people worship. Like Zeus, Brahma, Jade Emperor, etc. Off course for the Satanists, Lucifer is their "god".
