The US became the biggest LNG exporter at the cost of the entire EU industry collapsing if this war continues for a few more years.

But that's the entire Western colonial model, dog eat dog world, the rule of the strongest fist. That lasted amongst the Western Europeans themselves for a thousand years before they turned collectively to plunder the rest of the world 500 years ago with the start of colonialism.
Just like they never allowed the euro to come anywhere near the dollar, so over time you had the US GDP share rising and the EU GDP share falling over time, especially since 2008. The US moved from 23.1% to 24%, whereas the EU moved from 30.2% to 17.7%, haha, no joke.
Because they can't do much on their own, they have to steal from others (even today - neo-colonialism), even amongst themselves now. Unlike China, for example, which is truly exceptional with cultural and intellectual capability to develop on its own against impossible odds and then actually help the rest of the world, creating win-win situations today with BRI and once upon a time with its imperial tributary system. They know that they can develop inwardly on their own without stealing, and know that they are exceptional, so they fear no one else like the West and terrorize the world out of insecurity.
That's the difference between a 5000-year-old civilization state with the most continuity, time on the top, times it has risen again and again, China, and their Western lucky predatory empires-nations who got lucky 500 years ago because of the colonialism (constantly warring amongst themselves in Europe forced them to seek outward to see if they can plunder anything somewhere else, while Chinese empire was already rich at that initial date) give them initial accumulation of value advantage with them living so wealthy based on those early advantages even today.
And they do everything to retain that old hegemonic position in the present day. However, thankfully everything is already reverting to the mean, China and Asia returning to their natural place, and, for example, Israel soon becoming the last Western colonial settler force in history after the whole transition ends soon.
