With no real evidence, I suspect it is probably as simple as PDF being more a more centralised hub for English-language discussion of Pakistan-related topics than DFI is for India-related topics. BRF has been around more than 20 years now and remains a useful source.

China is energy independent with Russian imports, which is as guaranteed as Canadian trade is with US, due to Chinese political maneuvering.

Peacetime import of meat/seafood =/= food dependence. Even with no imports at all, China can sustain more than its own population, they would just have to eat less international foods.

So neither of these are real problems for China, due to the move of splitting the USSR and bringing Russia into the fold.

Also China has huge huge strategic grain, meat, pork, etc reserve. I heard enough to feed the whole population for 1 year or more
