New Zealand is a real country ... in fact NZ is more socialist than China, also the majority of NZers are socialist and don't like capitalist like the US
I was arguing at the weekend on a local NZ forum that other than China not being a liberal democracy, NZ aligns with China more than the US from a socialism and free trading perspective.

As expected, I got many down votes for my comment. LOL

Maybe one of these days I'll write about how much of an unmitigated clown show it was, but tonight I am 2 intoxicated and 2 sleepy to bother. On the upside, now I don't have leadership breathing down my neck about what and where I post (even when it's fucking boring and completely unclassified), so once I rebound from having grown to hate the field, maybe I'll do some more writeups on here and/or make those videos like I once said I would. Ian E*ston has drawn too many unchallenged breaths since my last rant.

Gonna make your own TheWarZone so you can get all of the Intel cash and none of the hassle?

HSBC's head of public affairs has apologised after accusing the British government of being "weak" for complying with US demands to cut back business dealings with China.

"I was speaking at a private event under Chatham House Rules and my personal comments do not reflect the views of HSBC or the China British Business Council. I apologise for any offence caused,"
Sir Sherard told the closed-door meeting that Britain often bowed to calls by the US and should look after the UK's own interests, rather than blindly following Washington's lead, Bloomberg News first reported, citing several people familiar with the matter.
According to Bloomberg, Sir Sherard told the meeting that one example of the UK caving into US demands was when Britain banned Chinese telecoms giant Huawei from taking part in building the country's 5G mobile phone networks in 2020.

Looks like HSBC are gradually finding their cojones after leaking sensitive info re Meng Wenzhou to the USG. Funny how being locked out of the world's biggest growth engine can do that to anglo oligarchs.

Funny how a Sino-Russian entente is just the sort of nemesis to force the Atlanticist oligarchy to finally pull their socks up and behave responsibly for perhaps the first time in their lives. I guess the prospect of losing Alaska just to go to war against China is starting to dawn on the Cathedral. (Because it won't just stop at Alaska, but the strike force could well cut through Canada and into the raw midwest of the United States)

I believe Algeria is backing the new government and Algeria has a frankly ridiculously OP military compared to every other African country except Egypt.
Algerian official stance is that they want "constitutional order" in Niger to be restored but strongly oppose military intervention. However Algerian outlet Intel Kirby wrote, about a potential ECOWAS-led invasion of Niger, that "Algeria will not sit idly while a neighboring country is being invaded".

Mali, Burkina Faso and Guinea have declared that in case of military intervention they would send troops to defend Niger.

Beijing tells Philippines to remove grounded warship from disputed South China Sea reef after latest clash in long-running territorial dispute

Beijing has urged the Philippines to remove an “illegally” grounded warship from a reef in the disputed Spratly Islands after an incident over the weekend where Chinese coastguard ships fired water cannons at vessels supplying troops stationed there.
The coastguard also said the Philippines had repeatedly promised to remove the vessel and had “refused to respond” to requests for talks to manage the dispute.
“The Chinese side urges the Philippines to tow away the grounded warship from the Renai Reef and restore the Renai Reef to its original state,” the spokesman added.
