I don't think we disagree with the reasons why African Americans have become what they are now. However, we seem to disagree with the facts that African Americans' integration has been that successful or not. It is true that African Americans have been forced to adopt main stream cultural, religion and language. And many African Americans aspired to be accepted and included.Liberia has little to do with the overall history of Blacks in the U. S. It was an externally imposed solution to the “race issue” and focused, primarily on free-born Blacks, within the context of the period of African enslavement. Liberia was not the idea of Blacks in the U. S., it was a white-supremacist imposed experiment!
The issue is that, by a process of cultural genocide (ethnicide), physical deprivation, infiltration, mis-education, and a sustained campaign of racist violence, that included rape, American policy and practice created a population of people that could not collectively conceptualize any option but to identify with its oppressor. The Civil Rights Movement was not a rational choice of an empowered rational actor with agency, it was a capitulation to naked-power. Had Blacks in the U. S. recognized the power that they did have, at that time, instead of following the delusions of a Christian Charlatan, they’d have sought to consolidate the power that did exist in their externally enforced segration, just as the European Jews did in their ghettos! Instead, they sought power in Jesus, i. e., superstition!
The weakness in this choice is, now, made obvious by the extreme maladaptive, anti-social, and criminal nature of behaviors exhibited by far too many Blacks in American society and the violent/death-cult nature of Black America’s most popular art-form!
However, I think the harmony now is more or less due to the America is still the most powerful empire. It is like when Han and Tang were at the peak of their strengthen, they too had accepted many minorities and many people at the time thought the integration was successful.
The downfall of the Jin dynasty which is the successor of Han and Tang was brutal. The minorities that once part of the empire revolted and brutally killed Hans and subjugated Hans to their rules or attempted to establish their own empire with their own ethnics. The question is if the American is weakened in the future, would people fighting in the racial line or ideological line. That is the ultimate test if the integration is truly successful with forced assimilation with just cultural, religion and language but without interracial marriages.
