Seriously, what is wrong with these people. It’s like the EU is becoming an extension of the U.S., not only in mental instability but their love for… well trying to compare the size of there ding dings. Now imagine if Ursula Van Der crazy had something like that…. That would be truly the stuff of pure nightmares. Imagine just many cold shows would need to be taken to clean that image away and for some reason, I seriously believe that due to how she once mentioned something about riding horses naked in that G7 meeting, well it might have serious probability of being true

Very clever strategy to only ban some, but not all Japanese prefectures.

Firstly, this reduces the supply drop and thus price pressure for Chinese consumers.

Secondly, this promotes conflict within Japan between those affected and those not affected, whereas if China blanket banned all Japanese seafood, it will ironically create a United front in Japan, since everyone there will be in the same boat.

Lastly and most importantly, this will create the market conditions to ensure Japanese people themselves end up eating the overwhelming majority of contaminated seafood since exporters will buy up as much of the seafood from non-banned areas as economically viable, while seafood from banned areas will plummet in price until eventually someone (local) is willing to eat it.

The West and most other countries developed a tendency of smart people avoiding politics. Politics was never a profession that attracted the brightest people. But it was never this bad. In Europe and US, it became something only people who can do nothing useful get in. Exceptions exist, but this generally holds true. In the Netherlands and most of Western Europe, most people imagine an otherwise unemployed person when they see a politician. Then there are diversity hires like Sanna Marin, UVDL, etc... This is why you see this many clowns nowadays. Western democracies are becoming kakistocracies which is rule by the most unqualified people.

Their politicians say that the contamination is no biggie. Why won't the politicians eat them first?

China is the very definition of anti fragile and Huawei lives up to its name.
It would be appropriate if American companies are mandated to use Huawei chips if they want to remain in the Chinese market.
And Micron should go the way of Blockbuster video.

btw all this means is that the gallium and germanium ban will still continue which means the west better start investing in factories in China or watch their companies die. It’ll take them ten years otherwise to build up rare earths mines and factories in America and even if they did, how long will this op remain viable with inflation?

That means the radioactive water should be discharged off the Hamptons and the Hudson River to really take it up with japans leaders.

This is a pretty interesting new to learn that Alibaba Cloud will be the cloud provider for the upcoming Paris Olympic games this coming 2027. It'll be the first time in modern history and for the games to be broadcasted via Cloud instead of Satellites. Alibaba beat out AWS or Amazon Cloud for the rights to broadcast and utilize their respective cloud technology. In light of what's happening with the chips being denied to Chinese cloud service providers prominent among them is Alibaba it'll be interesting to anticipate the level of attacks that company and others will be receiving in the coming years, months, weeks, or even days to sully, and damage reputation for above Chinese companies.

Why is Beijing not returning the favour and doing the same with Russia and Belarus? The foreign policy of Xi administration is not very satificatory in my opinion. Return the damn favour, fucking foreign policy inactive babyboomers.

It's safe to say that the Turks under Erdogan have thrown their lot in with NATO; perhaps the turks believe russia is losing and want to reap the benefits as a swing state.
Well it could end with Russia just stopping building their reactor ? Why on earth Russia would continue ? Erdogan will need a lot of leverage to be able to keep Turkey out of trouble economically and i'm not sure that the EU is in any shape to save him. Accession of Turkey to the European Union could be the final nail in their coffin.
