ZTQ-15 and PRC Light Tanks

I wonder if PLA has some attack and counter attack drones that supplement these tanks. It seems from the last Armenia Azerbaijan war, tanks are pretty sitting ducks against cheap suicide drones. How could a tank survive if spammed by 10 or 20 or 50 cheap flying anti tank drones. Especially in moutain terrain where are many opportunities to hide for an ambush.

Well, to be fair, everything is a 'sitting duck' against this threat, especially as they get more and more advanced, with longer ranges and loitering times, specialized payloads and fully autonomous network-free AI capability. There is no effective counter against drone swarms yet.

To counter you need very good surveillance capability and ballistic missile. Locate the drone launcher and few precision missile will get job done.

China in drone tech, variety, numbers deployed, and capability/function of drones is second only to the US if even that these days. The GJ-11 has been in active service for at least a year and a half if we assume the continued pattern that October parade show have only shown in service weapons. The US has not yet (publicly disclosed) any in service equivalent flying wing UCAV capable of significant air to ground missions. Differing aims etc of course but when talking drones, China isn't even in catch up.

Chinese drone autonomy tech has been demonstrated publicly for so many years I've lost count.

If anything, enemy tanks don't stand half a chance against PLA's drones along Z-10 and Z-19. Not to mention dedicated anti-tank, guided artillery rounds which have been in PLA service again for years. Something the US is only recently selling to India for tens of thousands of USD a pop. They've bought enough for about 3 hours of fighting lol.

I'm talking against an adversary like India where these tanks are deployed against. So air superiority is likely.

Nope, Mg intended to take on hardened (APC) and point targets, grenade launcher is intended to engage 'soft' targets (infantry & unprotected vehicles) on short to medium range.

So, I’ve scoured this thread thoroughly and may have missed it but, do we have any confirmation that Type 15 has hydropneumatic suspension?

It's a semi-active torsion bar suspension with electronically-controlled hydraulic dampers that use centrifugal impellers to achieve different damping levels.

The torsion bar:

Oh, thanks! I'm not familiar with suspension technology, and I saw your post of this before - one user said this isn't torsion but failed to clarify why. In any case, could this mean that the tank can pivot itself down and up like the Japanese Type 10?
