A Z20 mock up with folded rotor blades has been sighted on a type 055 destroyer under out-fitting, which indicate a naval variant of Z20 is ready to be stationed on type 055, type 052DG and type 071 LPD.

Interesting remark on Huitong's Chinese Military Aviation, described it as Z20F?, a ASW version that first flew in late 2018.

To go by how the tail folded, the rear landing gear has been moved forward, MH-60R style?

But I prefer the Z8C over the Z20

On the last parade day they had 2 x Z8C on the deck of the LPD and it looked great

Z20 kind of reduces the image of PLAN due to copy hawk issues

Build a 12,000 ton with rail gun and lasers yet use a Z20 for ASW?

I would rather see 2 x Z8C with more modern look

You know the story about the Goldilocks and the 3 bowls of porridges? Analogy:
Z-9 is too small.
Z-8 is too big.
And Z-20 is just right.

And if Z-20 going to be the standard platform, Z-9 can be pushed to squadrons that work with smaller ships such as 056. If there's still excess airframe they can be set aside as source for spare parts.

Adding on to @MwRYum ‘s list remember Z8 is an improved model of the Super Frelon, Z9 was based off a license of the AS365 Dolphin. As such if you found Z20 as having supposed “Copy Hawk” well the existing fleet would have “Copy Frelon” and “Copy Dolphin”. Those so disposed to that mindset are just going to roll with it anyway.

Anyone with an idea concerning this mock up?
The left one is clearly the well known Z-18 mock up and right the J-15 ... but what's the type in the middle? For a Z-9 it is too much different and too large ... is this a Z-20 mock up similar to the one we saw on the Type 055 DDG?

I think that is a Z-9 -- it seems like there is something in front of it obscuring the view, however if you look at the tail we can see the distinctive fenestron rotor+fin of the Z-9/Dauphin helicopter.
