That last picture which shows the door I believe that is the Dillion Aero mini gun that's he'll of a gun 3,000 rounds a minute and when you open that gun it's sprays bullets everywhere

When firing this gun it's like you have a pressure washer or water hose it stays put hardly bounces and you can accurately lay down lots of smack, it's called achieving suppressing fire very good gun

and to be fare the is not a very large ramp.
a solution to the problem might be to try and adapt a remote weapons station to the side mounted defense application.

Looking at the picture, the window gun position seems to obstruct the ramp, so the choice is do you want to obstruct the door or the ramp?
Well, if you look into the helo, across to the other window on the other side, where I presume a second MG could be mounted, it is clear that there is more than enough room for personnel to exit via the ramp between those two stations, even if personnel were operating both guns.

So, I would not say that you obstruct the ramp per se. You may not do four abreast...but I believe you could easily do two abreast.

Though I would suggest ducking. Looking at the height of the ramp compared the height of the John Deere ( how many of us 10 years ago would have though we would be talking about John Deere tactical vehicles?) its a very low bridge.

I think that's the GAU -17.

This (CS/LM5 12.7 mm Gatling cannon) would be an excellent door gun for the Z-20.

they are one and the Same. The M134 is the Army designation Gau 17 is the Airforce Mk77 mod 0 for the navy.

That Sino was the Gun I mentioned as being a great choice for the Z20.

this is the 7.62x54R version i think it's called the CS/LM12, Now for those who think 7.62 is not enough fire this is not the Nato spec 7.62 its the russian spec'd that reaches farther it almost in the .300 WM class. well offering a lighter weight.

If they induct this thing it'd open the PLA to a new world of possibility, the ability to piss down tons of lead at the enemy in a very short time - not that they don't know that now, but such firepower still beyond reach to anything under company-level.

But, the way a gatling eat through its ammo cache will take time to get used to.
