Sorry for the noob question: can someone explain what is depicted in this photo? Is this a MAW system and a countermeasure dispenser or something else?

Countermeasures dispenser. MAW is either a set of lenses or a radar array depending on type pulse Doppler radar, IR, UV or combined NIR/UV.

She looks like she is just about to embark on her Gaokao lol. Anyway looks can be deceiving, and some people do have the luck of appearing 10-15 years younger that they really are. I was joking when I said kids flying the copters because they look so young. What surprises me though is with all the physical and mental stress she went through to qualify as a pilot, Sec. Lieutenant Xu still appears like a kid who has yet to get roughed up by society. Well, best wishes to her career and may she be blessed!
