That interview strikes me as authentic. So the research and development of Z-10 was completed in 2006 but engines were a bottleneck. Now, Chinese indigenous engines (including turboshaft) are being mass produced so Z-10 is being mass produced. But in the meantime (since 2006), they've improved the Z-10 into the Z-10A model. It's not clear what the improvements are. In the 2006 interview the designer said Z-10 is slightly inferior to Eurocopter Tiger. That suggests the Z-10A should be matching the Eurocopter Tiger since that's what the designers are aiming for.

Maybe someone can better translate this. Some interview with someone about the WZ-10 getting past some hurdles.

Also here's a pic was I reading from the forums maybe a new version of the TY-90 that was on this WZ-10. Maybe they were just testing a TY-90.
doesn't appear to say anything meaningful as far as I'm concerned.

I don't know, but the "interview" smells like fabrications to me. BTW, that was 4 years ago.

What I'm wondering are:
1. Have they dealt with the problem with the source of powerplant? Or they still using those from PW Canada?
2. Why still in the navy-blue, not the typical service colors like camo or olive drab?
It has to be domestic. Everything in service with PLA uses domestic powerplant.

i know operational apaches also have a airspeed probe but its much smaller and shorter. could it be that these 8 or however many there are, are still a test regiment? it doesnt seem right that the finished product would fly with such a large airspeed probe placed at such position near cockipt. at least i cant find analogues for it on other assault choppers.

well, anytime this is the first operational regiment, it is probably in someways a test regiment or at least some units in there are probably tested.

The serials look like PS of the last digit. Could be wrong on that but I have the feeling that is is just the same chopper with different ID's.

I think it is an airspeed and direction sensor vane, like the low speed omni directional air data sensor system probe fitted to other helicopters like, say, the Apache, so Bltizo is basically right.

No, he was talking about the little symbol stenciled on the fuselage of the helo just under the pilots window.
