Narratives are external as well. If not, then no one would complain about textbooks :)

The other extenal matters have been addressed in previous posts.

But your logic, if you are consistent with your logic, you would be the kind of person who believes that the people of Hiroshima and Nagasaki deserved to die by nuclear weapons, because that's all just part of War. If that's the case, why on earth do Japanese people still advocate to seek justice for those perished civilians?

You mindset has no mercy or care for the weak and vulnerable. You think you live in a world where war will never start, and atrocity will never happen to you. What make you think that you will not be the victim next time. What make you think that the next "Rape of Nanking” won't be "Rape of Tokyo" or "Rape of Taipei"? Who gave you that confidence? Francis Fukuyama?

What happens in any other country has NOTHING to do with atrocity committed by Imperial Japanese military. It doesn't make them any less guilty, nor any more innocent. You fools has this short-sighted glee, because you think that calamity will never again happen to you, or the next time when war happens, you fools won't be the toothless civilians waiting to be slaughtered. Your denial of the crime of the Japanese military does NOT make you or them less guilty, it ONLY serves to make those future war criminals less morally restricted to commit atrocity against you.

Well yeah. Those were part of total war as well. If one wanted to create catagoziation of war crimes, the use of the A-bombs on those two cities would be war crimes just like the war crimes carried out on the Japan side. The forced recruitment by the Nationalists Chinese could also be viewed as a war crime I would think. But I rather not get so caught up about war crime this and war crime. If having the term, then it shouldn't be applied with bias. But of course it was victor's glory to rewrite history so war crimes was used with bias by the victors.

But your other point about seeking justice, not really, as I have already posted. There is very low sentiment for justice seeking about the A-bombs.

I liked your post because it serves in demonstrator how pro-CCP posters just ignore points already stated and try to frame incorrectly the posts/posters that are against their desire :) It's pretty shocking first few times it happened but now its like *yawn* because its expected now. The unexpected would be an objective and non-bias post by Pro-CCP posters :)

A video of various buildings in Tainan, Taiwan that were built in the years when Taiwan was part of Japanese empire. The buildings are restored and are currently used as museums, police stations, school halls, and so on.
A temple in Taiwan enshrined a Japanese WW2 pilot.

Quoting the post about the buildings in Tainan, Taiwan that were built when Taiwan was part of the Japanese empire and the post about the shrine in Taiwan that enshrined a Japanese WW2 pilot.

We have a moral obligation to advocate for the victims of Hiroshima and Nagasaki nuclear bomb attack, as much as we have the obligation to advocate for the Rape of Nanking. Nazi German War Crimes does NOT give USSR and Allied atrocities against German civilians any justification. Because war and atrocity can happen to anyone. This is why we as normal common civilians are all in together with this.

You think this is just about your little pride, you think this is just about us wanting an apology. Don't fool yourself! Japanese apologies and repentance isn't worth anything now. With Japan as toothless as she already is, if she is any more spineless, it would only make her an even easier target for the like Trump to swindle strategic concessions from. Japanese concessions to the US is NOT something China, Russia, nor Europe would want now.

If you truly want a world where people can forget and forgive the past wrongs and transgressions, start with true reconciliation, start with finding common ground and common interest. Putting war criminals in their due place is a common interest, because it also helps to protects the Japanese from becoming the victims of future war crimes, to a certain degree, especially when Japan has pretty much conditioned herself to be a peaceful nation in the last 75 years.

In the long run, it is more in the interest of future Japanese to be tough and have higher standard towards War Crimes, than in the interest of future Chinese, Russians and Americans. Think hard about this.

I didn't restore those buildings and I didn't build that shrine. The Taiwanese did. All I did was post video about those.

So all this blahblahblah is uncalled for and just yoir attempt to sweep it under the carpet.

Your reply is absolutely incoherent. Did you even understand what I was saying? You should be ashamed of your pathetic excuse of an overused Straw Man argument.

I was talking about the danger of moral relativism, especially for military weaklings like today's Japan and that idiotic Island of Taiwan. Their stupidity parallels a black person sympathetic to the KKK, or a Jew sympathetic to Nazis. Because in today's world, they are the most likely victims of Chinese, Russian, and American bombs and missiles. Japanese need to wake up and realizes that they are by far not the biggest and baddest beast in the vicinity. More so for those foolish Taiwanese, who think that provoking a war would be in their interest.

To use an inappropriate analogy, Japan is right now a 5'4" damsel in distress, surrounded by three and a half 6'4" 200 convicted rapists (US, China, Russia and North Korea). Do you really think it is in this damsel's interest, for her to claim out loud that "rape is not that bad, it's all just a matter of perspectives". And Taiwan is even worse, Taiwan is an under-aged 4'2" adolescent.

Do you get what I am saying?

Right now, it is in Japan's interest to exert her soft power and preach her anti-war peaceful post-war culture on the political-diplomatic stage. The problem with Japan is that the Japanese are good at spreading their anti-war culture around, but very bad at using that cultural global influence to act more proactively in the world stage. And this all has to do with Japanese elite's reluctance to renounce war criminals in their own history, as well as this traditional Asian-Confucian demure demeanor.

So what? I've been there, it's a nice temple. What does it prove?
Other than taiwan, where else do you find such a shrine? Korea? Manchuria? South East Asia? The taiwanese does it because they have this ongoing problem with the mainlander, they have this identity war to fight at home. They are nothing but fools who uses this to piss off those who they perceive as mainlander. How does that prove your narrative?
