Since 9/11 all airports around the world had stepped up and beef up their security, how much is another question. If it's terrorists than it's a very sophisticated team that's behind it, meaning it would require a lot of money to obtain undetectable explosive materials to get through the screening at the airport and training.

I have reservation about terrorism being a cause, with the Uighur terrorists in mind. People travel on stolen passports for reasons other than terrorism. If the terrorists target a foreign airline, they will harm may innocent victims who are far removed from their cause and will only draw worldwide condemnation of them but sympathy and support for China. All that they have been protesting about would be undone by this act.

Instead, terrorists would hijack and make demands before doing anything drastic if they are aboard a foreign plane as opposed to a local one. And so far, no one has claimed responsibility. If there was an explosion, we should see some floating debris as Steelbird pointed out. It might still be early to spot them, so let's see in the next few days.

Passenger jets do go down seemingly suddenly without communication -- with technical problems.

Perhaps the pilot cabin suffered failure and the pilots were incapacitated before they can respond. This whole thing is very suspicious a plane just vanished without warning or communication, seems too well executed and if it was due to terrorism then I would not rule out state sponsored terrorism.

I want the wreakage location identified and if it is over the sea in internation water, tow the deep diving submarine china has to the area to see if we can investigate/recover parts of the plane. It's time the investments pay off.

Is a Libya-North Korea war possible, will it be a win-win for both goverments if they go to a "war" where only a few dies to shift focus from internal problems:confused:

This sounds like the plot of a screwball spoof movie starring Leslie Nielsen, which once again proves fact is stranger than fiction. A war between one of the world's most anarchic states and one of its most dictatorial, both similarly backwards and inept in their own way. I don't know whether to laugh or cry at the thought. Of course in reality it would just be a war of words with the highlight of a spray and pray firefight over a rusty tanker, unless they then also decide to each sponsor their own terrorist attacks against each other.

In order to break foreign dependence they've banned raw materials from being imported. I think some people think the US possesses in the ground every resource on this Earth. It's stunning the level of ignorance.
