Sounds to me like another one of those self righteous religious freaks whose goal is trying to change China into a certain religion all because they hated the government.
That's pretty harsh Equation. I believe Jesus is Lord and I'm no freak. You certainly aree entetled to your opinion.
The Bible teaches Christians..
Jesus was speaking to all who believe when he made this statement.. not just Peter.
About pastors ,ministers and elders of the church the Bible states;
The man is doing what he should..
To the contrary, when reading the article, he sounds like a fairly upstanding citizen of China who has objected to government activities regarding Christian churches in the region, including the removal of a cross.
He spoke out against it, and arranged protests...so he was arrested and detained.
As I said before, true Christians do not believe in forcing others to become Christian. Such behavior would be incompatible with Christ's teachings and would not produce true, heart felt Christians at any rate.
But they do believe in sharing their message with others with love and reason, so others can decide for themselves.
In nations where that very act is either illegal, or viewed badly, they run up against persecution, mistreatment, arrest, and imprisonment for doing so.
It sounds more like that is what is happening to me.

The irony is this writer is most likely in the camp of those who criticize the poor who complain for not having self-responsibility. Like the decision to outsource jobs by American corporations and not China.
It makes me angry when I hear on the news the underhanded blame being put on China for the outsourcing of jobs in the US. US corporations are part of the blame for wanting to get the lowest price labor they can get and still get good quality goods. The other is the American labor unions trying to squeeze management for every penny they can. These two factors have cost the US an untold number of jobs.
It's called greed.
