I am surprised he is being allowed to draw it back at all in protest.

He could, very qucikly, before those officers couled react, pivot and let it fly at an officer or spectator.

Well, I see it like this...just a little different than Hemmingway.

War is Hell. War is horrible.

But, if a nation is being attacked, and its people being killed and destroyed by a nation, force, or power who is trying to subjugate them, destroy/annihilate them, ensalve them, etc. then it is not a crime to defend yourself against it.

It will still be horrible, and Hell...but in such a case, it is not a crime. It is a horrible necessity brought on by something even more horrible.

Weapons indeed are made to kill and destroy. But they are also meant to defend.

Defending yourself, your family, neighbors, and freedom is something worth using those weapons for...as hellish as the fight may be.

There are some things worse than dieing.

What?

Who is this fit, young man, with a full head of hair, standing on the USS John F. Kennedy 42 years ago?
