It maybe a mascot to them, but to me it's a potentially delicious with "11 herbs & spices" extra crispy meal.;):p

Is the Viraat a warship of is it Noah's Ark? I am beginning to question the professionalism on IN's personnel. What competiton? I pray to God they do not have cock fighting on board a naval warship let alone a capital ship like that.
That looks more like a rooster to me than a chicken.

Here's a link with more photos of the ship..

Ok ..I find the condition of the F'scole on that ship appalling. It looks dirty. And that is being kind. The F'scole is supposed to be squared away all the time, like the rest of the ship...Like the USN. Just sayin'.

The F'scole is squared away aboard CVN-76.

I noticed that as well, but didn't want to say anything. At first I thought maybe that same chicken was at a different ship at a different time, instead of an Indian naval ship.

Do they use real guns and live ammo for training? Most of the photos of US army training, the tip of the barrels always have something red or yellow (I don't know what you call that) to indicate that it's for training. Don't Israeli army use that?

For the cock on the Viraat, I somehow doubt it. Actually photos emerge on Chinese websites are not always reliable. Look, the external of the Viraat is mainly grey while the photo of the cock is yellow. It looks like an internal part of a ship but might not be the Viraat. If it is true that the cock is on the Viraat, the IN sailors should go home do farming.

Generally yes, unless the training is designated a "live fire" event.
