Police forensic officers investigate a crime scene in Woolwich, southeast London May 22, 2013. A man was found dead at the scene and two other men were taken to the hospital in London neighbourhood of Woolwich on Wednesday. (Xinhua/Yin Gang)

May 23 (Xinhuanet) -- A man with bloodied hands, holding a meat cleaver and a knife appears in an amateur video after a soldier was killed near an army barracks in London. The suspected attacker said "The only reason we killed this man is because Muslims are dying daily. This British soldier is an eye for an eye, a tooth for tooth."

He said, "I apologise that women had to witness this today, but in our land our women have to see the same. You people will never be safe. Remove your government - they don’t care about you."

The attack occurred in the southeast London neighborhood of Woolwich, just a few blocks from the Royal Artillery Barracks. The dead man was a serving British soldier at the Woolwich barracks.

Eyewitnesses said the two suspects hacked the victim to death with kitchen knives. They tried to behead the victim while shouting "God is greatest" in Arabic. The two attackers were seen dragging the victim from the pavement and dumping his body in the middle of the road.

One witness also heard about five or six gun shots from the police, and saw one of the guys go down. Soon after the attack, two men carrying weapons were shot and wounded by police. Police have sealed off streets and closed schools around the Woolwich area. British Prime Minister David Cameron said the attack appeared to be terror related.

TCSG Dost Started Her Duties In The Black*Sea

The first pair of offshore Patrol vessels of the Turkish Coast Guard have arrived to their home ports and started to their duties.
SG-701 TCSG Dost is located in Samsun and SG-703 TCSG Umut is located in Marmaris. *TCSG Dost started her duties in the Black Sea on 19 May 2013. It is not clear now when TCSG Umut will start her duties but I do not think it will take too long.
Both ships *were commissioned in Turkish Coast*Guard*on 5 April 2013.
The contract for the construction of 4 ships at RMK Marine Shipyard was signed on 16 January 2007. The keel of the first ship TCSG*Dost*was laid on 3 May 2008. She was launched on*9 June 2010 and was supposed to enter service last year. Similarly TCSG*Umut*was launched in 2011 and supposed to enter into*service*this year. So TCSG*Dost*is*entering*two years late and TCSG*Umut*is entering into service just about time.
These are the first large ships of the Turkish Coast Guard which never used any boat with a large displacement than 200 tons. Their primary task will be search and rescue missions on heavy seas and in bad*weather*conditions*when the*smaller*boats cannot operate. Secondary missions*will be*showing the flag,*patrolling*the seas and prevention of*smuggling.
This class of ships have fire fighting equipment and a hangar and a flight deck for helicopter operations.
