Common Origins. It's like asking why All battle tanks look about the same. Or why the F14, F15, FA18, SU27 and Mig 29 all look alike. It's because they came about form the same needs using similar technology with the same goals.
modern combat fatigues are decedents of the uniforms warn in ww2 by both allied and Axis armys.
England and the US suppled Uniforms too the small armies that were created after the fall of there home nations. Germany did the same too the "Legions" that they created too fight for them.
the more modern type really came into vogue after Korea, When Camouflage really started taking off.

There Utility layouts are Taken form Para trooper Smocks, of Germany, Great Britain, Italy, And the US. as well as uniform sets like the American Herringbone Twill Uniform the latter war The M-1944.9 Uniform and the Experimental Tropical Uniform, the English Commonwealth uniform and still more
Camo Patterns were influenced by past patterns. Tiger stripe for example being a interbreeding of french lizard stripe and the British The 1959 Pattern Denison Smock used in Malaysia.

many Eastern European uniforms are direct takes on Splitter pattern uniforms issued too the German army near the end of the war.

In a more Direct line, Many smaller armies who depend entirely on imported equipment might buy there uniforms off the rack From companies who are contracted for such. Sometimes they might also receive them direct from larger nations though things like the US security assistance programs who supply BDU's too the World.

in the WW1 era were when Uniforms began too change. with trench and covered fighting of the modern style making it's self known the old bight colors and breast plates were dropped. When fighting in Lines bright colors and bold markings allowed easy Identification of a target. but with the advent of the repeater and machine gun in the post American civil war era such tactics were mass suicide. so more subdued styles became the norm tan green grey and khaki moved too the front. Well bold colors became more the dress uniform.
