I am sorry Jeff, I think Hollywood Should cool it with the Zombie movies for a while.
I am already not that big a fan of the whole Zombie Genre.
Neither am I.

I do not watch traditional Zombie type movies or other Horror movies. Have never seen, nor will I watch the Walking Dead.

However, I did think that World War Z was good. It was based on a scientific, albeit fictional, virus, that had a scientific answer.

Anyhow...as I said, I am not into the Genre either, but would watch a "Z" sequel.

In that case, I think you may like 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later. In these the zombies are simply infected people from a strain of mutated Ebola virus, and the only really fictional part is the time it takes for a person to get infected and taken over by the virus (seconds instead of days and weeks).

And these zombies are just humans gone fanatically mad, and do not possess any superhuman attributes. They can still be killed like a human, and they become weaker and die from hunger exactly as a human would. So quite realistic in terms what a zombie outbreak would look and feel like if it ever happened in the real world.

Ok, need some help naming an older zombie movie. The zombies where partially intelligent. And the story was about a walled city that was a stronghold with military and everything. And about a corrupt rich hotel owner or corrupt government, I can't remember. They always sent out teams to scavenge for supplies. That is all I can remember.
But I did enjoy that movie when I was younger.

Did anyone like the movie "Shawn of the Dead". A zombie apocalypse comedy/ horror. That and "Zombie Land" I really liked.

I believe you're referring to Land of the Dead.

Anybody ever see the 1970s movie Food of the Gods? It was about this substance that oozed from the earth on an island and when animals ate it they would grow gigantic. So basically the climax was the island was taken over by giant man-size rats. You know when you watch the end credits to a movie there's always have a disclaimer that no animals were harmed during the making of this movie? Not this one. So they had their scale model replicas of landscapes and buildings so it would look like hundreds of giant rats were taking over. So the characters of the movie in the end are fighting for their lives shooting shotguns at the giants rats. I think for that effect they actually used a BB or pellet gun maybe a small caliber gun to actually shoot the rats.
