I have a Dell XPS M1760 laptop that is pretty much maxed out for on the go with SLI GeForce NVidia graphics. At home I use a HP Pavillion Elite, quad core, 12 GB RAM, very good ATI Radeon board. Both are very hot machines and everything pretty much plays at its highest settings. I like:
SC2, Oblivion, BFME II, COD4, Sins of a Solar Empire, AOE III, still like Orion II, Harpoon III, etc.
I just got a Dell Studio XPS with an AMD six core processor with an ATI Radeon HD 5870 last November. Before all my high graphic intense games used around 75% of my processor. The very same games I can max out on everything and it uses only about 20%. I can render videos and play my games at the same time with no effect on game play. Modern Warfare 3 they just displayed at E3 looks like it going to be fun. I just hope the mission games last longer.
