How do the eating dirt work. I find it hard unless you do it on purpose.

USMC recruits are always being corrected..about something. The photographers at MCRD jsy happen to be following this company of marines around that day.

I lived across the street from MCRD for 10 years while I lived in SD. Those Drill Instructors start giving recruits grief at 0500..everyday except Sunday. On Sunday they don't start until 0600.

How do the eating dirt work. I find it hard unless you do it on purpose.

The Sargent more than likely just made a bad landing.

Marines from Virginia, Hawaii and Okinawa, Japan line up side-by-side with Australian and New Zealand counterparts before firing on targets during the bayonet portion of the 2011 Australian Army Skill at Arms Meeting (AASAM) May 15. The week-long meeting pit military representatives from partner nations in competition in a series of grueling combat marksmanship events. Represented nations include Canada, France (French Forces New Caledonia), Indonesia, Timor Leste, Brunei, Netherlands, U.S., Papua New Guinea, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand as well as a contingent of Japanese observers.

Note the Marines are Wearing the new USMC chest Rig a two part system taking a chest rig and blending in a load barring belt. it's replacing the Y harness and akin too the Army Tactical assault panel in that it can mount too armor. The Marines picture look too be packing M4's but even then compared too the F88S Austeyr of full sized barrel the Marines have a slight advantage the M4 placing more rifle out in front giving better leverage for the heavy OKC 3S Bayonet.
