I wonder whats the actual kill rate from small arms fire during battles. To my knowledge, majority of them are killed by airstrikes and grenades. Most firefights are like high school macho standoff, countless pushes but no real actions.

Really? When was the last time you were in a firefight?

You're actually right, countless studies have found that in ground warfare a relatively small percentage of fatalities are caused by rifle fire. Far more are killed by mortars and artillery. But that's not to say small arms aren't important; they fix the enemy in position, and are the ones that actually dig out the enemy and hold territory.

Slight delay on this so lets get going post #1188 the First pic Small arms include 2x M4s, 1x M249 and A good morning too the Baddies M134 (AT4) second A M4A1 with M203A1, Third pic a number of Cougar Mraps and a lone hummer. fouth pic you can really see the shape of the rear plate in that Soldier plate Carrier. last pick really shows the teliscoping stock and mods on the m249.
1189 Black weapons are still the standard although the Army has said it would allow camouflaging of weapons trouble is the way they want it done is well not really effective so I am hoping the army will do it at, some point down the line with the next carbine or improvement too the M4.
the iconic silhouette. the third pic has a good view of the current look of an American Radiomen. and another silhouette. 1194 Pops pics Marines... Second pic gives some details of the load out of the USMC the Scalable Plate carrier is more and more the norm and point man is packing the heat of a m249 soon too be phased back in favor of the Hk416 M27 IAR. pics 3 and 4 are listing the wrong weapon in there captions as that is a M249 it's not this marine is manning the m240 GPMG. #1195 shows best the ineffectiveness of the ACU as camo well highlighting the latest Miles Gear 1196 gives some nice views of the M109A6 "Paladin". Joke captions for pics 7, 8 and 9
commander too man on the ground. " Hay wear are the keys Joe?"
Pic 8 " Keys? keys? I know I had them right here." " Oh man..."
Pic 9 " hay What's the Hold up?!" "were looking for the Keys...You seen um?"
post 1197 really shows the mix of UCP and Multicam these days.
1198 the M9 Barretta
1202 an up armored hummer sitting really low and a nice shot of the blackhawks in the poppies

Comments post 1205. Marine Corps Martial Arts Program McMAP a hand too hands fighting system developed by the Marines for the Marines and instituted so deeply now in the corps that they actually worked it into the combat uniform. If you look at the marine in the foreground wearing the "Skivee Shirt" his web belt is colored too display his Mcmap Rating It looks like a black belt, one of the highest ratings any higher and red stripes would be added too the end of the belt much like the system used in Karate. Recruits start at tan belts and move up getting darker as they go. the Devil Dogs in the rear ground are wearing Improved Modular Tactical Vests McMap is designed too be used by Marines in battle so training in body armor is a must and carries on a long tradition dating back too When knights preformed gymnastics in Armor. Post 1206 I have not seen Marines wearing shoulder Rank save for in there service uniforms however before we jump on this marine for being out of uniform note he is not wearing his Cammie top but rather his Frog Combat shirt so the rules are different.
Now we see the Army in it's latest load out. Soldier plate carrier vests multicam combat shirts. Soldier seen in the first of the army pis is wearing a Ops core FAST shell helmet not the regular ACH his helmet allows a lighter feel better ventilation easier use of hearing protection and communications via the latest Active noise cancellation integrated in a radio head set. Others seen are using the Regular ACH. The M4's are fitted out with Eotech's HWS, AN PEQ 15's and the latest Surefire Raid light. I love the name of that Chinook.... VULTRON!
