Thanks for viewing this thread gents. We receive about 60 hits a day on this thread. That is great for a forum our size.
I'd REALLY like to see more responses from the PLAN fans. I'd like to know what you think of the USN as portrayed in these photos. Or what to you think of the photography? The loactions? Do you think any of the photos are PSed?? Just what do you PLAN fans think of these USN photos??
If you have any questions about the USN I'll will do my best to answer them!

third fomr the bottom, the M249 is a newer version based on the FNMINI SPW but fitted with a m4 style stock the Army is said too be doing the Same too the m240 for the infantry although I think they should just adopt the mk48 for the infantry and replace the m249 with Mk46's then start fitting M110'sd with M4 style stocks.

i don't have the expertise to make any smart comments about PLAN or the US Navy, but iam a big fan of this thread and do appreciate the work you put into this and the other picture threads. and i suspect people who simply want to say 'nice pics' don't want to clutter up a thread with a bunch of posts applauding the pictures. otherwise, this will be one of those threads from other forums where you have to scoll through 2 or 3 pages just to find a post with pictures. you'll just have to assume the thank yous are implied because of the hits this thread gets!

We get 240+ hits a week on this thread and I guess not one PLAN fan has an opinion.
Some one could at least post those famous words from mp.net..."nice pics' But no. Not even that. Not a single word of praise or one stinkin' question since my post about these USN pics from a PLAN fan.
I bet you if I posted some pix tonight some may show up on sina.com tomorrow or the next day.. That's cool.
I stand on this statement. >> PLAN fans are envious of the USN and their capabilities and don't want to suffer a internet beat down by the pro PRC forces.

The Utility/Cargo landing craft are a good example. In addition to those craft designed to carry the troops and fighting equipment, the US Navy has developed speacialty vessels for ultility and provisioning work after the beachhead has been secured.
Another is the patch up work on the LA class sub that was hit by the San Antonio class LPD. It looks like it came very close to losing its entire sail, which would have sunk the sub. And yet, there she is, temporarily repaired so she can make the voyage back tot he states to get completely repaired.
Sort of like with the Cole which was so terribly damaged by the terror attack...and yet now is sailing the high seas again, now with a bit in her mouth.
Also notice all of the training with live fire exercises for the 25mm and other close in weapons, as well as with small arms.
Anyhow, again, great job with the thread and thanks for putting such a great respource out there.
You do a GREAT job with these threads popeye. The pictures speak not only to the massive power and capabilities of the vessels and crews themselves, but also to the breadth of experience and expertise developed over the yers.
