The US Army & Marines, & others in the ISAF Coalition Force have done their best in Afghanistan. It's however time to bring them home, and let the Afghans take over security. The situation is becoming complicated with internal tribal rivalries continuing, and geo-political interests of Pakistan & India coming to play. How it would work out? No one can predict at this present time.

Hooah...troops from Ft. Hood, TX, thanks for the pics Popeye. Now had anybody outside of Germany ever tried firing the G36 service rifle? I'm curious to hear what's it's like.

Note these Jarheads are not wearing ballistic helmets but rather bump helmets. bump helmets are more or less military versions of common sports helmets like say worn by Hockey players. they are modified too sport night vision gear and are warn in places where a reduced weight is preferred over full protection. but one still needs too prevent themselves from being knocked silly by well bumping into things. They are often warn by delta force and navy seals as well. and some makers are now making crossover ballistic models that can be either ballistic or bump like say Opscore's FAST.
The Last Picture took me by surprise that Leather neck is firing a M4 mounting a M320! the Army's New Grenade launcher! Also note is very low profile Trijicon RMR (Ruggedized Miniature Reflex) as time goes by dot sights keep on shrinking that is a unit i have also seen sported on some custom pistols! ( humorously That is an Idea that was actually found on startrek the original series!)
